Bought these as an affordable option for my wife to have ANR without spending the bucks I spent on my DC 1X’s. I tried them out last flight and I am extremely pleased with them especially for the price . I haven’t actually tried them side by side with my 1X’s but my first impression is that they are even quieter than the DC’s. They are nice and light, a lil bulkier than some other high end sets but construction is good. It has features that exceed other sets that cost 2-3 times as much. If I had to say anything remotely bad the only thing I could say is the tension on them makes them a lil tight squeeze on your head. Overall I’m thrilled with them, my wife’s going to love them. I love my DC’s but If I had it to do all over again knowing what I know now I’d buy two sets of these for the same money I laid out on one set of DC 1X’s. This is a great option for a student pilot to have the advantage of ANR and still money left over for 3-4 hours of instruction time. I rate em a BUY

Note: I purchased this headset at full retail price. After a few 8hr days flying pipeline, I really like this headset. Its comfortable all day long. I have a very large head and it fits just fine. The clamping pressure is much lower then what I am used to, and the leather ear seals are very comfortable. ATC says my voice quality is crystal clear, and I can hear them perfectly. The ANR does a good job in my incredibly noisy Maule with patrol windows. The Bluetooth works great, and after making some in flight phone calls through it, I am told my voice quality is very good. Being able to record audio, charge, and connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time is an impressive set of features that I suspect a lot of pilots will find useful. It runs off two standard AA batteries which I prefer to a proprietary rechargeable battery or a 9V. The box reads Made in the USA, which came as a surprise considering its bargain price point. I contacted Pilot USA and they quickly confirmed that it is made in the USA. Considering how good it is, its a no brainer for anyone looking for a high value ANR headset. It has two minor shortcomings. First: the music quality is not as good as a premium headset. Not a problem for me, as I am not picky about that kind of thing. I mostly listen to audio books and podcasts where it does just fine. Second is more of a personal preference: the top cushion while very good is not as good as the sheepskin cushions I normally use, and I will be changing that out. I highly recommend this headset, and would 100% buy it again.
