All of the Tie-Downs are made with the highest quality 3 strand twisted nylon rope available. Nylon shows excellent resistance to abrasion, rot, mildew, petroleum products, and most chemicals. Nylon also has a slight elastic characteristic which resists shock loads that could otherwise damage aircraft.
Measure to the closest foot, the distance from the ground anchor to the planes point of attachment. Use this foot mark to determine the tie-down length. HINT: Be sure to measure both sides, as the plane may be closer to one anchor then the other.

Hook-N-Pull™ Tie-downs can be shortened by pulling the tie-down bar away from the half knot and tying a third half knot close to the bars new position.

Very happy. I often land in high wind conditions and need to tie the wings down before the plane flips. Takes less than 14 seconds to tie down both wings and tail to my 182. I have the hooks squeezed to the ground tie-down anchors so they are permanently in place so they are fast and handy to use and prevents theft. I will NEVER be without these Hook-n-Pull tie downs.

Simple as tightening a tent line. A bit pricey, and the short/tail version is not in stock.

As soon as I pulled these out of the box I was skeptical. One of the ropes was frayed and the tightening mechanism did not inspire confidence. But, I thought, “they must work better than they look”. As it turns out, they don’t. The first time the plane was exposed to a significant wind with these tie downs, both wing tie downs loosened off, and one loosened off so much that it detached from the ground anchor. If you need a tie down that will actually do the job when it counts, find a different tie down. I’ll be returning these to Aircraft Spruce because they can’t be trusted to hold when they are actually needed.

Q: Do these Hook N Pull Tie Downs come in a set of 3? Or do I need to purchase quantity of 3 to take care of both wings and the tail?

These tie downs are sold individually. So to have one for each wing and the tail, you would need to order quantity 3.
