Standard Steel Cleco Pliers!
Clecall, the developer of the popular upright spring loaded cleco pliers has improved yet another basic aviation tool! The basic horizontal cleco pliers have been around for generations, has always required input from the user to open it further, which is inefficient and uncomfortable.
Due to significant demand, Clecall has developed the first spring loaded traditional cleco pliers with a very affordable price point.
Save tons of effort with the new and improved classic design of the cleco pliers which now includes a spring!
Whether you prefer the classic, or upright design, Clecall saves you time and energy!
Great service tool works great thanks
These are so worth the extra few dollars its not even funny. Operating pliers both ways may not seem like a big deal, but after you do it 20,000 times during a project you appreciate what a difference a small refinement like this can add.
First pair sucked Because they were riveted to tightly together and the spring function would not overcome the friction. However, Spruce sent me another set which I absolutely love and they work perfect. Super easy to use and very helpful!
The cylindrical rim that the cleco shoulder rests on keeps the cleco secure, whereas with most cheap cleco pliers its easy the get the cleco shoulder jammed on the rim. The spring action is very helpful, and the overall design of the Clecall pliers will benefit those with arthritis.
So much easier to use than standard Cleco pliers
I like these a lot. They work smoothly, I think the amount of tension is about right, and the quality is good. The only negative is the grips theyre way too slick. I scuffed mine with some fine sandpaper...problem solved.
I bought this cleco plier because it was the only one Spruce had in stock. In spite of having large hands hands I find the spring spreads the handles so wide that it is awkward to grasp and move into usable position when picked up. The bigger the job the more irritating it becomes. My wife has much smaller hands and absolutely hates this tool.
I Installed only 4, number 3 clecos and handle binds and spring will not open the pliers. I can wiggle loose and seems to work again, but after 4 or 5 clecos, handle binds up and spring will not open pliers once again. Conclusion, it looks pretty, but is a POS
