RAC wing walks are not made from the usual, sandpaper-like material, which can decompose and scratch both the wing surface and your knees. Instead, they use a low profile, synthetic rubber, that combines a comfortable feel with good gripping power.The RAC wing walk comes pre-cut to 26 1/2" x 9 1/2". Installation is easy with the aggressive, self-adhering backing. Each wing walk comes rolled in its own, 4"x3"x10" box and installation instructions are also provided with each box. Black . Did a layout of where to cut on the paper backing and cut it to the custom size with a sharp utility knife. The surface is kind on your knees and hands, unlike some of the sandpaper types of wing walk. Goes on much easier with another set of hands and a small paint roller to keep bubbles from getting trapped when youre laying it down.
I like the feel of it versus traditional sandpaper-like walks. Very easy to position and apply and when corners are radiused, makes for a neat and durable install.
I use it as an additional griping surface on firearms and tools. Works great without tearing up clothing, holsters, skin etc.
We installed this wing walk on recently painted Beech Musketeer. The installation was a snap and it looked clean and sharp. That has been about 5 years ago and it has held very well!

These are priced and sold per sheet. The sheet size is 26-1/2" x 9-1/2". You will need to determine how many sheets you will need for your application.
Yes. It can be cut with a sharp exacto type blade or industrial scissors.
No, RAC only offers this in black. We do have another brand that is translucent, 6" wide is p/n 09-31645, and 24" wide is p/n 09-31685. It is not made of the same material as the RAC.
It has a textured look and feel, but it is not rough like sandpaper. It is a smooth feeling, textured surface.
Yes you would want to remove old material and adhere this to a clean surface.
