Overview

The ETX400-24-TSO is an FAA TSO approved deep cycle backup aircraft battery for critical electronics. However, it can also be used as a starter battery in applications that require cranking amps equal or less than 290 CCA.

The ETX400-24-TSO is an 7.8Ah, 5.4lbs backup power source for avionic critical electric loads! This battery can supply uninterrupted power in the event of an electrical system failure. This will ensure your GPS, communication systems, and flight displays remain operational. This can be crucial for navigation and communication during emergencies. Increase safety and peace of mind so you can focus on flying.

Also, this battery is fully protected by an integrated battery management system (BMS). The BMS protects the cell’s from over discharge, over charge, short circuit, temperature, plus cell balancing to ensure charge levels are equal. Additionally, the ETX-Hundred Series aircraft batteries have redundant electronic circuits and battery fault indication. The fault indicator can be connected into your EFIS or wired to a 24volt LED light on your instrument panel. The fault light will alert you to the state of charge and state of health of the battery. (Please see manual for details)

In addition to the BMS, this battery has thermal runaway containment and venting designed to meet all the DO-311a and DO-160G requirements for a lithium battery in aircraft.
