AN FITTINGS AN837-4D ELBOW

This is the second one I have purchased. Both had the same defect. These elbows appear to have a defect in the threads along the thru-wall section. Such that the AN924-3 nut will not thread onto the thru-wall portion of the elbow without galling. As expensive as these are - I would think they would be of better quality.

Q: What is the difference between the -4D and a -4J? What does the letter signify?

The "D" represents the unit is made of aluminum, and the "J' is made of a corrosion resistant steel, usually a type of stainless.
