Q: Is the 3 ATI raised face cover plate MK640 painted?

No, these are sold as bare aluminum.

Q: What are the dimensions of raised portion of the plate? Trying to determine the difference in size between a 525 and 3 ATI plate.

The adapter face is raised 0.075."

Q: What is the size difference between the MK630 and MK640? Thanks

The MK630 is made to plug the hole left when a Bendix King KI525 is removed. The MK640 will plug the specific hole left by a 3ati instrument. The over all size should be the same, but the shape of the raised plug will be different to match the footprint of the instrument that was removed.
