Engine and System Monitoring:

The MVP-50P replaces over 15 Engine Instruments and 50 Functions in a single, full color, enhanced TFT glass display instrument. It features excellent viewability, even in direct sunlight. The MVP-50 is an unrivaled Engine and Aircraft System Monitor with an easy-to-read and easy-to-use format. There are
Pilot-Programmable colors, ranges and limits and a voice alarm for each instrument displayed. Its “System Page” displays trims, flaps, wheel status lights, many system parameters and annunciators.

This is the most powerful engine and system analyzer on the market, featuring the following displays:
Bar Graph (with Scan and Hottest Cylinder modes), Rich-of-Peak, Lean-of-Peak, Full Digital, Normalized and Differential. The MVP-50P’s instant red and yellow visual warnings, as well as voice annunciators for all Programmed Limits, eliminate the need to constantly scan an entire panel for possible problems.

In-Flight Data:

The MVP-50P provides many “Flight Data Screens” to reduce cockpit clutter and pilot workload. Some of these screens are: Fuel Management, Timers, Clocks and Date, Weight and Balance, Data Recording, Custom Checklists (Start, Taxi, Run-up w/ Mag Drop, Take Off, Landing, Emergency and more!), Custom Flight Plans, General Information (Aircraft Performance, Engine Diagnostics, VSI Lights, Airspeed, VFR Minimums, Altitude Table, Light Gun Signals, Transponder Codes, Frequencies, Real-Time Out (providing telemetry for UAV racers, etc.), plus additional Screens, including: Flight Log, Max Data Log, Min Data Log and others. And it’s easy to create your own, Custom Screens and download them to the MVP-50P through its USB port. Compatible with OP Technologies and Chelton. EGView Charting Software is also available for use with the MVP-50P.

Reviews

I have had Electronics International Inc(EI) gauges in several of my airplanes and have always enjoyed them. Their equipment has always been just perfect for task and when Ive compared them to other manufactures Ive always chosen EI over their competitors. My most recent experience is with the MVP-50P engine monitor in my Cessna 180. It is an awesome unit and when you compare it to the others out there I believe it is superior to any of the other choices. So, now you have excellent equipment, what about the support should you have a question or need a repair? Well, hands down they are there to support you 110%. Ive talked with Blake and Dave numerous times and they have helped me troubleshoot issues that actually turned out to be problems on my end. They are a great company, with great employees and great products. I highly recommend the MVP-50 engine monitor or any of the products they manufacture! Youll be glad you did!

Q: We just bought a MVP 50 EDC unit. Do we need to buy a P/N RFLM-4-24 resistive fuel pick up or something similar if we are using the old float type fuel sending units?

Yes as long as you have a resistive float type probe part number 10-03191 (RFLM-4-24).

Q: Is the MVP-50p a primary replacement for tac manifold pressure and fuel pressure?

Per EI: Yes, the EI MVP-50 can be a primary replacement for tac manifold pressure and fuel pressure.

Q: Does the monitor connect with the Garmin GPSMAP 296?

Per the manufacturer: Yes, the MVP-50P will accept GPS data from a Garmin 296.

Q: I have an MVP 50 certified. I need a pressure altitude. Do I need to buy a probe? part number?

To obtain a pressure altitude indicator on your MVP 50 you will require a pressure transducer, part number 10-03239, plus you will have to return the MVP 50 to Electronics International for a configuration update to add pressure altitude as a secondary function.

Q: Will the MVP 50 display fuel levels from four tanks? Two mains and two aux?

Per the installation manual, this can display up to four tanks.

Q: Bases for the maintenance installation approval? Is there an STC for the MVP-50P Engine Monitor? For a Cessna 172N Is the MVP-50P Engine Monitor PMA certified instrument?

Please view the document section for the STC and AML.

Q: In the info it says the AV-17CP voice annunciation panel is not included with the certified version. Is voice annunciation an option on the certified version and, if so, does the annunciation panel have to be purchased separately?

Per the manufacturer, the voice annunciation is not available for the certified MVP50P.

Q: My aircraft will not have a VAC system. Also I wish to keep the MAP and RPM steam gauges. What happens to that real estate on the instrument?

Per EI: These are custom programmed. MAP is not required on the MVP, but RPM must be present - so the 2nd arc will be free. Most typically, we see this space used to report Fuel Flow or Oil Pressure. Vacuum also is not required, and any other parameter on the instrument can fill this hole.
