|This Tach Cap can be used to close off the tachometer drive of a Lycoming or Continental engine when an electronic tach drive is being used off the magneto or electronic ignition. 7/8" thread and Viton (R) O-ring to seal.|
High quality component from Andair.
Fit perfectly on my O-200-A tach and was able to be safety wire. However, this part is extremely overpriced ($32.50 as of the day I bought it).
Clean, safe solution.
Fit a Continental IO-520 perfectly.
Fits perfectly. Worth the wait.
Fits perfect for my Lyoming IO-360 B1F
Very nice piece. It seems pricy, but you have to consider its a low volume production...
Waaay too expensive. I think youre taking advantage of being one of the few people who carry this item.
Great cap, easy to install and lots of holes for safety wire.
We installed an Electronics International tachometer in a plane that we are rebuilding. We wanted to be certain that dirt couldnt enter through the now unused flex-cable drive so we ordered one of these caps. It is beautifully made and fits great. The only surprise was that EI provides a cap for this purpose. It isnt nearly as nice but would have done the job.
The threadings for the tachometer cap will fit the IO470 Continental engine.
It is aluminum.
