The Sport™ Mount - Flex Clip Mount. This is the first and only mount that you can secure anywhere you wish.
Since the Flex Clip uses Flex Arms, it is infinitely adjustable so pilots are able to mount their device in the exact position they wish that was thought not possible before.
Simply take the metal base and secure it in the desired location with screws or adhesive. Then take the Flex Arm with the clip base and slide it into the base and lock it down by tightening the knob.
This mount serves as a great alternative to a traditional suction cup. It provides a more secure, semi-permanent installation while taking up less space with its smaller footprint. The base measures less than 2 inches square, much less than the three inch suction cup base or the double or triple suction cup mounts used by some pilots. To remove, simply slide a metal ruler into the slots on the base and twist it off or unscrew it. Could not be simpler!
* Fits Monorails sized, 5/16" - 1/2"
The infinitely articulating and adjustable arm attaches to the Universal Cradle to hold any iPad or Tablet, or to the iPad Sport Case for a specific iPad fit. This feature makes this mount future proof. Once attached, the iPad can be viewed in either portrait or landscape modes simply by rotating the device, nothing has to be loosened or tightened to make this happen.
NOTE: You must have a Device Holder to use this mount NOTE: Four screws of an AMPs pattern and with semi-permanent VHB adhesive, sold separately.

Without question the MGF Sport Mount Flex Clip is the best option for attaching an iPad to a general aviation aircraft. I have seen and used a lot of different iPad setups and this is by far the best built and engineered solution. They use only high quality aluminum and the finish is excellent.
I did however have a small problem with one of the extra clips used to move the mount to a different spot in my plane (depending on whether or not I have passengers who like to use ForeFlight for example). The Aircraft Spruce support staff were willing to go the extra mile to get this issue fixed. Benadette and the rest of the phone support are great to work with. However I could sense Aircraft Spruces management did not empower the staff to solve the problem. After a week of talking with AS support staff I gave up and contacted MyGoFlight directly. MGF Fixed the issue immediately at no cost to me. Because Aircraft Spruce management did allow their staff to fix the problem I wasted a week of my time and there time too.
So thumbs up on this device. Thumbs up on Aircraft Spruce phone service staff. And a big thumbs down on Aircraft Spruce management.
