Operationally this tool is fine but it has some design flaws. These flaws can be fixed easily but this should not be necessary. 1. The friction knob that holds the sizing leaves in place moves when the tool is operated. I fixed this by replacing it with an AN365 nut which solves the problem, but now a wrench is required to back the nut off to add or subtract the leaves. 2. The machine screws at the pivot point on the handle are too short, and the nuts holding them will actually come loose. A longer screw fixes the problem but this is a shocking oversight on the part of the designer. Once those two fixes are carried out the tool performs well. But for this price on a simple tool, this is pretty disappointing.

This product does not perform well. It is a poor design. The cutter part works fine but the stops to set the length of cut is the problem in this tool. I have asked my A&P who also owns one also and he agrees that it just doesnt work well at all.
