Being a professional aerial photographer, getting the best shots is what I live for and this mount does just that. Having the ability to secure multiple cameras at a unique location on the airframe delivers incredible footage time after time. Better results than I expected. Nice job.

Great mount and works with the GoPro on my 172 perfectly. However - TETHER YOUR GoPRO. I lost my Hero 3 due to the plastic GoPro mount failing and breaking in flight. TETHER TETHER TETHER.

I had been looking for a mount for my 172 for quite sometime to capture my flying experiences across the country. The WingItMount was the first one I had found of its kind and I found it very easy to use. I have found the three mounting spots to be specifically nice in being able to capture a variety of shots. I also was very impressed with how well it appears to be made and have faith I am going to be able to use it for years to come. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to mount a GoPro to their Cessna.

Q: Do I need to have anything else more then the standard GoPro camera and this WingIt mount to start recording?

It depends on which model GoPro you have. Unless you have the Hero 3 Black or newer edition, you will need the GoPro WiFi remote so you can remotely activate the camera while it is mounted. You can use the remote with the newer GoPro models as well, but the new models also have WiFi capability which means you can activate the camera with your smartphone.

Unfortunately, no. The Wingit mount part number 11-11472 is specifically designed for the GoPro. At this time the manufacturer does not offer mounts for any other camera.

Q: Will this Wingit Mount for Cessna fit the strut on a C-206?

This would not fit onto a C206. The largest strut on an aircraft that it will fit on is a C182.
