Features

  • Tapered Form Fit – Our designers have meticulously crafted the G3 Abrasion Boot to seamlessly conform to the contours of your horizontal stabilizer. Say goodbye to bulky or too-thin, ill-fitting protection—this boot hugs the leading edge like a second skin.
  • Rock and Debris Defense – The aviation world can be unforgiving, with rocks, gravel, and debris often kicked up during takeoff and landing. The G3 Abrasion Boot acts as a shield, preventing damage and extending the life of your horizontal stabilizer

Specifications

  • Material: High Performance Elastomer
  • Thickness: The leading edge measures 3/16", tapering down to 1/16" approximately.
  • Coverage: Approximately 3.3" width of Stabilizer on both top and bottom.
  • Non-PMA’d

Benefits

  • The G3 Abrasion Boot is available in two lengths to accommodate different aircraft models:
  • - 53-inch length – Product Code G3-MUR-53, compatible with Murphy Rebel, Elite, Yukon, Super Rebel, and Murphy Moose.
  • - 68-inch length – Product Code G3-STAB-68, compatible with Cessna 170B, 170E, 180K, Piper PA-28R-180, PA-28-140, and similar type aircraft.
  • For the best fit, it is recommended to measure the leading edge of the stabilizer to select the correct size. The G3 Abrasion Boot can be trimmed for a precise fit.
  • Adhesive Recommendation - We recommend 3M™ 1300L or Industrial Adhesive 4799 for securely bonding the G3 Abrasion Boot to the stabilizer, ensuring a dependable attachment and lasting protection.
