The Insulator is one of the finest sound proofing and thermal insulation materials available, and will last the life of the aircraft. The single and dual sided Insulator materials are ideal for installation on interior skin, floor, engine covers, doors, headliners, and bulkheads. The Insulator uses multi - layered fiber plys bonded to reinforced high performance foil to provide optimum barrier to acoustics, radiant heat, thermal heat, and moisture. Insulator is available in 4x 6 panels or by the lineal foot (4 wide). Install Insulator with Sticky Stuff spray adhesive and Insul-Tape. Not FAA approved.
Max Temp: 200°F
This insulation matt is an excellent material to work with and provides good quality sound proofing and insulating factor. I recommend the double sided foil material and foil tape the open ends.
This is the absolute best bang for the buck for keep noise, heat and even fumes outside the car. I used that wax paper backed aluminum tape that comes in rolls and is sold for taping ducting to seal the seams of this stuff. The floor section of my car is made up of at least a dozen separate sections so that it follows the contours of the floor. Once taped, it acts like one form fitted sheet of Insulator. Highly recommended!
Excellent product easy to install, reduce the noise and the heat.

Yes, this material is self-extinguishing.
Yes, that is exactly right. It is a single layer of the insulation mat with foil on both sides.
All of it. These insulators do not have any FAA approval. Experimental aircraft only.
It can be painted, although this will not allow the product to reflect the heat.
This insulator is approximately 3/8" thick.
You would not want to use this as a flooring without covering it with a carpet or other material. The product is 3/8" thick over all and the foil is very thin and would tear if stepped on repeatedly.
Per the manufacturer: We have not tested this material for this application, and we are not confident that it would work.
