Overview

SkyFYX combines a high precision WAAS GNSS sensor with an integrated RAIM processor. Resilient against jamming, spoofing and GPS range errors—SkyFYX provides reliable navigation in challenging environments. SkyFYX is the most affordable ADS-B rule-compliant position source companion for the echoUAT ADS-B transceiver.

The SkyFYX meets the performance requirements of 14 CFR 91.227. For use in Experimental and LSA aircraft.

Q: What antenna should I use with the skyfyx?

The antenna that comes with the system.

Q: Does the UAvionix SkyFly provide a RS232 output for application with a Trio Autopilot?

This is not meant to drive your autopilot as it is a GPS source for the ADS-B EchoUAT unit.

There is no mention in the manual regarding autopilot installations.

Q: Will this Uavionix SkyFyx interface to a Grand Rapids HX display to show traffic and Wx on the HX?

This is the skyfyx antenna which is a GPS signal for the ECHOUAT p/n:11-15205 The antenna will not interface to your display however the echouat will.

Q: Confirming this would be a GPS source for a AV30?

The skyFyx GPS system is only usable for the echo UAT system and will not interface to the AV-30.

The AV 30 requires a navigation GPS system that provides NEMA 0183 or aviation protocol.
