RF Connectors / Coaxial Connectors TNC R/A PLUG RG55 223 142 400. Amphenol RF TNC Threaded Connector Series are miniature, threaded weatherproof units with a constant 50Ω impedance that operate from 0-11GHz. There are two types of TNC connectors: Standard and Reverse Polarity. Reverse polarity is a keying system accomplished with a reverse interface, and ensures that reverse polarity interface connectors do not mate with standard interface connectors. Many TNC connectors are recognized under the component program of Underwriter's Laboratories and have undergone stringent testing from an independent laboratory. |

Works great
Very useful for antenna or equipment connections with limited space.
Right angle TNC connector worked well, need to solder center wire but the fitting crimped well on RG400 . I had tried the straight TNC fitting but the crimping barrel was too stiff and did not grip RG400 and the fitting came apart, breaking center pin. The crimp tool was set at proper dimension.
Needed two of the right angle TNC connectors for a GDL-82 Install in my Pitts S2B. Worked Perfect! Make sure you have the correct crimping tools for this connector and any BNC connectors. I used RG400 Coax for my install, and these TNC connectors made the GPS antennae install clean.
This connector is well made and easy to install.
Good connector.

connector requires soldering. I prefer the connector with the crimped center pin.

This is a standard TNC male connector. If your antenna has a TNC female connector on the end, it will fit it.
Yes, the center conductor is soldered onto the connector. The barrel is crimped on.
