The product was what I expected and should last a while if rebuilt properly. It is a less expensive option to a new alternator.

Removed the 25 year old failing alternator from our 1982 Piper Archer II. The new alternator (4111810) bolted right up with no issues. Started the engine and viola I had 30 Amps indicated immediately. No dreadful 1 or 2 amps indicated. No more flickering alternator light in the Archer. The price is right relative to other suppliers. Note: I already have a new master switch, a new Zeftronics solid state voltage regulator and new battery. Stands to reason that the alternator would be next.

Q: My alternator is 411810R, is that the same as just 411810? Does the R mean rebuild maybe?

Yes, R stands for rebuilt. 411810R and 411810 are interchangeable in application.

Q: Are the cases a different size between the 37 and 60 amp alternators?

The cases are identical between P/N# 08-10682 and 08-10684. They are referred to as the Chrysler Roundback Style alternators.

Q: Are the Falcon/Chrysler alternators FAA PMA?

The alternators are designated as OEM replacements. These will come with an FAA release for 8130-3 which will certify them to be airworthy, but does not specify which applications they can be used on.

Q: I dont find mention of returning a core. Is a return core required or are these outright purchases?

There is a core exchange tied to this purchase. The current core charge will be added to the shopping cart along with the alternator once you Add to Cart.

Q: If this alternator is ordered, but not used, or installed, can it be returned?

Yes, we offer refunds for parts returned within 30 days if they are unused and re-sellable condition. Please contact customer service for RMA # and returns instructions before sending it back.

Q: What is the warranty period?

1 Year Private use, 6 months commercial use.
