Lever-action gauge measures fuel level from full to empty on fractional dial. Matte-white markings on 2" black dial with red "No Take-off" sector below the 1/4 full mark. Cork float has 4" travel. Wire arm 12" long may be cut off to required length, wire bent to 90 angle to secure cork float. 1-13/16" between mounting hole centers. Hermetically sealed dial assembly has magnetically driven, silicone-damped or position pointer to prevent flutter.

Nicely made unit. Float travel is more like 24 inches than the stated 4 inches. The float can be moved to reduce the required travel. 4 inches is more like the minimum travel it can be adjusted to.

Q: Does this fuel gauge 05-16700 come with the gasket to install it?

Yes, a 15-4 Buna N gasket is included.

Q: Is the float, part #05-03395, made of cork or neoprene?

The material this part is made of is nitrile rubber.

Q: Is the weld flange adapter (ACS part #10361) that fits this gauge steel or aluminum?

The weld flange adapter is 6061-T6 aluminum.

Q: Does it have the 4 mounting screws. Mine were totally rusted in and had to be destroyed taking it out.

No, this does not come with the hardware.

Q: Does this require a flange welded in to the tank or can it simply be bolted in?

We believe you would need to use the weld flange adapter, part number 10361.
