PILOT USA PA 97 GA DUAL PLUG TO AIRBUS ADAPTER

Heavy duty and well made. Looks like it should last a long time. Seems to fit the Airbus socket quite well, and with a Bose ANR the sound quality is great! No complaints so far.

Not compatible with Bose A20s. Microphone causes crackling/not good connection due to tolerances. Tried with other headsets and connection is OK but some weak spots as well with bad connections

Q: I have the DC Pro X headset (Boeing plugs) .. I need to buy an adapter to convert to A320 . Is the PA-97 what I need to do as mentioned?

Yes, this will convert a standard dual GA plug headset to the 5-pin single XLR plug which is common in the Airbus.

Q: If I have a headset like the Telex Airman 8+ which had ANR, will I be able to get power through the plugs using this system?

No, this is an audio pass through adapter. It does not provide power for the ANR. If the headset itself has battery powered ANR, that will stick function.

Q: Im on the B787 we have both GA and 5 pin XLR. I have A20 and if I use this converter do I get power from the aircraft 5 pin? Which I can no longer carry batteries for my A20?

No, if the headset is a dual GA Bose A20, you will still need to use the A20 batteries to power the ANR.
