I can’t believe I didn’t find and order this tool a long, long time ago. It might’ve saved me from hell fire and damnation for all those oaths I uttered over the years (some of which I made up on the spot) trying to install adel clamps in tight spaces (is there any other kind?) with ordinary needle nose clamp pliers. I wish I’d invented this tool I’d be a rich man today! Whoever DID invent it deserves the Nobel Prize for anger management.

If you work on your own airplane, this is a must-have tool. It makes the hassle of dealing with scat tubing, cables, and hoses, and making sure they’re secured properly, so much easier. Like so many tools that arent exactly necessary, I soldiered along for years on my Experimental project without it. Finally, stymied by a complicated clamp setup I was trying to accomplish, I gave in and bought these pliers. Now I wish Id bought them 20 years ago. Well worth the money for the time and pain youll save.

Great tool. I keep asking myself why I did not have one of these in my tool box. Especially great for use with 2 P clamps together. Also use a cotter pin puller for alignment in tight spots where the awl is too big to fit.

This is a great set. I find it works exceptionally well. The toll made it easy to attach two clamps. It was fast easy and trouble free.

This is a must have tool for all who work on airplanes. It is a real time saver and makes putting on adel clamps way easier.

Works much better than using needle nosed vice grips. Just remember to remove the pliers before tightening the hardware too tight or you wont get them off! In tight places the awl may not fit as it needs a straight line to work, try using a cotter pin puller PN 12-01892, this worked for me in a confined space.

Dont cheap out. Get this set if you are installing one clamp or 100 clamps. It will save your fingers and a bunch of time!

Works great when Adel clamps are clamping something parallel. Still OK but not exceptional when angles are otherwise. Jaws clamp parallel at zero clearance. Would work better if jaws were parallel at thickness of 2 Adel clamp ear thickness (4 ears) total. This would mean the tips of the jaws would touch before the rest of the jaws without a clamp between them. But... who needs to lock with no Adel clamps between them?

I would recommend it. It is much smaller than you might expect and the opening needs to be a little wider to accommodate the bolt diameter but it works well.

I should have gotten this cushion clamp tool years ago. It works really well, especially in tight engine compartments.

Works as described, but still need to use safety wire in some cases to draw sides close. And cant use in all locations due to size. Kind of pricey, but saving wear and tear on fingers

The concept deserves a 5-star rating. The finish of the tools is rough and shows a lack of production skills. Rivet heads were rough and sharp in some places. However, a time saver and appreciated the addition to my tool kit.
