Overview

More than a headlamp, the Flight Gear Universal Aviator's Light puts light exactly where you need it. A dual rotating axis and durable clip let you mount it almost anywhere: on the included headband as a headlamp, on a sun visor as a cockpit light, on a shoulder harness to light the panel, on a kneeboard for copying clearances, or inside your flight bag.

Red and white LEDs run from independent buttons, so you never have to scroll through white light and spoil your night vision to reach red. Precise aiming keeps the beam on your work and away from sleeping passengers. The compact light weighs only 1.5 oz, carries an IP65 waterproof rating and runs up to 100 hours on 2 AAA batteries (included).

Operation:
  • White light (W button): one press turns the white light on at full brightness. Press again within 5 seconds for medium, and again within 5 seconds for low, which gives the longest runtime. From low, or once the light has been on for more than 5 seconds, the next press turns it off.
  • Red light (R3 button): one press turns on one red LED. A second press within 5 seconds turns on the second red LED. With both on, or once the light has been on for more than 5 seconds, the next press turns it off.
  • The red and white lights do not operate at the same time. Pressing W while the red light is on switches to white.
