FUEL VALVE & MANUFACTURERS CROSS REFERENCE
I ordered 2 Curtis Drain Valves and they arrived quickly and in proper order.
Works as advertised
Its a sump drain- so far, so good.
A perfect replacement for the leaking drain valve on my PA12. It was delivered in two days. Great service as always from Aircraft Spruce.
Curtis drain valves work well but tend to leak over time. Can’t seem to find replacement O-rings and replace entire valve each time.
Great product with fast standard shipping
Replacing the originals on my pa28-181. Old ones 40 years old and starting to seep. If this set is as long lived I have nothing to worry about. OEM.
Just installed new Curtis CCA-1800 to replace the heavily rusted SAF-AIR CAV-110 drains on my RV. They look & work great. I expect the brass will cope much better with the salty coastal air.
|If you have measured your port and got 9/16", then the next closest size to this is 3/8" NPT.
Nothing is required but you could use Ez Turn if you would like.
You can use P/N# 05-01865 for the push type.
These are for oil and fuel systems so if the thread is correct for your application you should be able to use it on an experimental aircraft.
According to the Valve Application Data Guide PDF in the documents, the PA28-161 generally uses the CCA-1550 (Piper No. 492-022) valve.
CCA-1250 is spiral, twist open and CCA-1550 is push to open, turn to lock and conforms to NSN 2915-00-202-6420 when CCA-1250 does not.
Yes, you can find it by searching either CCA-1100 or 05-12914 on our website.
