Aircraft Spruce pulls through yet again with the hard-to-find parts. The price is reasonable too.

These buttons are small but very important to the proper operation of the flaps. They are often overlooked but are inexpensive and should be checked and replaced when needed.

Q: What is the diameter of the hole this is designed to fit and what is the overall diameter of the button?

These are designed to fit in holes on the leading edge of the flaps on most Cessnas. They should be called out in the part manual. These are not designed for general use and have specific applications in Cessna aircraft.
