The battery is fine. I ordered it and several other supplies in mid-May for my upcoming June 2019 annual inspection. This ELT battery has an expiration of May 2021. I would have preferred to receive a battery with a June 2021 expiration. I can appreciate selling older stock before newer stock, but if Aircraft Spruce was going to cut the margin this thin, I think they should have contacted me first and given me a chance to approve or reject.

The ELT battery pack works fine, but its quite difficult for me to understand why a battery pack basically full of D cell batteries encased in silicone that cost me $64.75 in September, 2024 now cost me $167.00 in July, 2026. Thats a 260% price increase in two years.
