When ordering this part, the necessary mounting hardware will be included. The interface kit is more meant for the Stratus 3 which is the portable version.

This transponder is a 1090ES transponder. (Mode S extended squitter).
The Stratus 3I is simply a GPS/ADS-B receiver and only provides information to the application like Foreflight. it does not store waypoints.
The iPad is not included but you do get the transponder and the stratus 3i.
Yes, this could be installed on either certified or experimental aircraft.

It is not the device, rather the software that matters. If you have Foreflight on a tablet, it will connect.
