Would you like to be able to permanently mount the GPS or XM Weather antenna from your favourite GPS? If so, the Aero Cover is for you. It fits all of the major brands of GPS and XM weather antennas. It will protect your antenna from the elements. It is streamlined and attractive. Best of all, it gets your antenna out of your way.
PROS: Great looking, very aerodynamic, provides excellent GPS signal reception for my handheld GPS, affordable. CONS: No mounting template provided (which is odd) so marking the hole locations on the fuselage was a bit of a challenge. I used the base to transfer the hole locations, but a paper template would have been appreciated to allow me to use a transfer punch instead. CONCLUSION: This is a significant improvement over having the antenna sitting up on my glareshield - I have never had a loss of signal in the two years I've been flying with it. It looks like a purpose-built aviation GPS antenna as well this doesn't really add any true value, but it does modernize the look of my older airframe.
