Overview

Consists of replacement internal switch contacts, lubricant, diode assembly, and terminal board as required for compliance with ACS Ignition Switch Service Bulletin SB92-01. Kit A-3650-2 contains diode assembly for starter solenoids with one or two coil contacts.

Installation of Ignition Switch
A)
Use SHIELDED wire on all connections and ground to
nearest structural member.
B)
Terminal 1 must have a jumper installed when LEFT MAG has IMPULSE COUPLING or is RETARD BREAKER MAG.
C)
Connect wire from RIGHT MAG to terminal 1 of drawing.
Connect wire from LEFT MAG to terminal 2 of drawing.
Connect wire from STARTER SOLENOID to terminal 3 of drawing.
Connect wire from Positive terminal of power supply to terminal 4 of drawing.
Connect wire from terminal 5 of drawing to nearest structural membe

Everything you need is included. Reuse the 3 springs under the triangular contacts. Rebuilt switch will be as good as new and this is an inexpensive way to avoid buying a new switch, if you think you need one.

Q: What do I order to prevent the ignition key to be removed before reaching the OFF position? I have a Cessna 152 with the optional 125 horsepower lycoming engine with slick mags.

The ACS ignition switches will not release the key unless in the OFF position.

Q: Is this ACS Ignition Switch service kit ok for use on certified aircraft?

Per our tech: As long as it is being installed on an ACS Products ignition switch, it will be fine.

Q: Can this kit be used to repair Bendix switches?

The A-3650-2 service kit was designed for the ACS Products ignition switches.

Q: Does the jumper for terminal 1 come with this ACS Ignition Switch Service kit?

No, the jumper for terminal 1 does not come with this kit.

Q: Does this ACS ignition switch service kit fit on a A-510-5 with no starter? If yes, can it add starter position to A-510-5?

Per Vendor: No for both questions. The A-3650-2 (11-03654) is for the A-510-2 (11-03170) only and will not give them the start function. There are other internal parts that are different as well.

Q: Is this the same physical size / dimensions as the TCM (Bendix) switch?

This (part # 11-03654) is a service kit not a switch. The ACS and TCM switches are similar in size but not the exact same size and dims.
