MA4-5 carb was OH by AvStar three years ago! On-shelf at AERO since, probably. Fuel pressure port plugged with Allen NPT plug that was impossible to remove. Had been sealed in place with white material that resembled pipe dope. After destroying my best Allen wrench, had to drill out plug. Easy-out could not break loose, so had to cut out in pieces. Took two hours. To clear finger strainer, had to remove filter cap nut which was similarly over-torqued. Loch washer was grossly deformed and required replacement (had in-stock). Again, white pipe dope that was rock hard. Note to AvStar was ignored by AvStar. Not Spruces fault. Have not yet run engine, but otherwise carb looks good. Will avoid AvStar products, when I can, in the future.
