$2274.00/Each
Part# 11-11954
MFR Model# ASA-00252-CU

Overview

Note: Only for use with Dynon SkyView system.

Integrated: Made for the SkyView System with control and annunciation appearing on the SkyView Display. The transponder module can be mounted anywhere in the airplane that is convenient.

Traffic: Features TIS Traffic (USA).

ADS-B Out via 1090 ES: Meets USA and Europe ADS-B Out Mandates. FAA ADS-B Mandate compliance requires that a suitable GPS position source such as the Dynon SV-GPS-2020 GPS Receiver/Antenna module be connected. Alternatively, a TSO’d GPS position source can be used, typically from a connected certified GPS IFR navigator.

Additional U.S. ADS-B OUT Compliance Information: The FAA ADS-B "final rule" only allows the higher power Class 1 transponder to be used as an ADS-B Out transmit device for ADS-B Out mandate compliance on or after 2020. Therefore, for U.S. customers, we recommend only the Class 1 SV-XPNDR-261.

Dynon Warranty, Support, and Service: These transponders come with a 3-year Dynon Warranty.

Mounting: At only 1 pound and 5.6" by 1.8" by 2.4", the transponder module can fit into the tiniest places and aircraft. A quick release mounting system allows for simple installation and easy removal if needed for service.

 • Connections: The SV-XPNDR-26X connects to a serial data line on each SkyView Display.
 • Mechanical Dimensions: The display mechanical drawings can be downloaded here:

These are made (I guess) by Dynon. I wish the wires ends were marked as to where they go. Ito me the average builder it’s hard to figure out where they hook up to. I’m sure others can figure it out but would be so simple if Dynon would just use wires that had where they go, like spruce does.

Almost a plug and play! Easy to install. Support from Dynon and Aircraft Spruce was exceptional. Made it a breeze to install in an amateur built experimental RANS S12 XL. Integrates very well with the SV system. Set on Auto, one less thing to keep on the checklist. Now adding Dynon SV Radio and intercom for even more stress free flying!

Needed a backup battery for a Skyview display and very few companies stock them. You do, which saved a lot of shipping time coast to coast. Thanks again for the great service.

Q: What is the appropriate antenna cable for the transponder with a 6 ft run?

You have the option of RG 400 or RG 58 coax cable. RG 400 is a higher quality cable but either will work.

Q: Is the Skyview system from Dynon usable for certified aircraft?

No, the Skyview system is not TSO'd and is intended for experimental aircraft.

Q: Are the D-sub pins on the Dynon cables standard or high density pins?

They are standard density pins.

Q: Can you provide a diagram of the EMS fuel flow sensor ? Dimensions ?

This would be part number 10-01196. The diagram is under the documents tab.

Q: Can the Dynon Skyview XPDR transponder be driven by (interfaced to) a Garmin 480 panel gps/nav/com?

Per the manufactuerer, the Dynon Skyview XPDR transponder can interface to the Garmin 480.

Q: If you the Dynon Skyview XPDR transponder without the harness does it still come with connector and pins?

The Dynon Skyview XPDR transponder without the harness still comes with the mounting bracket and 25 pin connector kit.

Q: Can this Dynon Skyview system be installed on a King Air C90?

No, this system is not FAA Approved and is intended for use in experimental aircraft only.

Q: Concerning the Dynon XPNDR-261:
1. If the Skyview unit fails, will the transponder work or stop working?
2. Can its altitude input be driven from an ACK-A30 or other external source, to remove total reliance on the Skyview?

Yes the transponder will still work as it is power separately. Based on the wire diagram, the encoder info is only offered by the Skyview system.

Q: Although the Dynon SkyView system is not TSOd..can it be fitted as a back up system in a certificated aircraft--or are products such as Garmin the only option....

Unfortunately, this unit cannot be installed in a certificated aircraft even as a back up. Please see the certified G5 for a qualifying unit.

Q: What is the difference between Class 1 and 2 models on the Dynon Skyview Transponder?

It is the output power (in watts) USA requires class 1 where Europe is ok with class 2.
