|A high-quality tool designed for use in the installation and removal of tubular brass or steel brake lining rivets, 5/32 of an inch in diameter. Recognized by professionals, this screw type set allows controlled pressure for a proper flare. This reduces the chance of cracking not only the rivet but also of the lining material. It also helps avoid the costly warping of brake assembly back plates and pressure plates, often associated with using the hammer type method. The RAPCO rivet tool is designed to be mounted in a vise or can be handheld. Packaged in a reusable case the RA825 is a quality tool for a professional job. Maximum set travel 1 inch. Maximum working area 1 1/4 inch.|
Excellent tool. Preferred over the hammer strike style.
My RAPCO BRAKE RIVET TOOL finally arrived yesterday (23 June 2020) after waiting nearly three months. It was packaged very well and looks great. A quality product. Cant wait for the weekend to finally use it. Thank you so much and keep up the good work. Cheers, Trev.
The Rapco RA825 rivet tool was used to remove and install the rivets used on Rapco RA66-105 Cleveland type brake linings used on a Cessna 172L. It was very easy to use at my hanger by hand without tools or a vise.
This tool worked perfectly, It is designed to mount in a vise, My Harbor freight vise worked great
Bought this to reline brakes on my 39 Dodge. This device is first class! Worked perfectly to press out the old rivets and then worked easily and flawlessly to install the new rivets and brake linings. I could not have expected it to work any better! A great product! American Made!
Weâve borrowed this tool before. Now we have one in our toolbox.
Iâm giving the 5 Stars for costumer service. I was very impressed on how fast the delivery was. I wonât be needing this for a while but everything was in the box. Great job.
Very, very easy to use. A substantial and well made tool. Takes all the stress out of removing and riveting the new brake liners. Easy to remove the rivets without a vise but should use one to rivet the new ones back in. Otherwise youll need an extra hand. Line up the rivets correctly and on the correct side of the liners and backing and youre good to go.
