SAF-AIR CAV-180 PUSHTYPE FUEL DRAIN VALVE

$17.85/Each
Part# 05-01868
MFR Model# CAV-180

Overview

SAF-AIR push type fuel drain valves are close tolerance valves of simple design. These valves provide the most trouble free operation of any other line of valves in the industry. SAF-AIR valves are manufactured with an o-ring placed on the stem to seal against a flat seat on the body. This design eliminates an area where dirt can gather, thus putting an end to the main cause of fuel drain valve drip. FAA & PMA APPROVED.

Note: Aircraft applications are for general reference only. Verify correct valve for your aircraft before ordering.

Well built product at 1/4 the price of OEM. Valve is economicly re-buildable which is a plus. Great factory support.

Exact replacement of existing - labels included for logbook entry - only comment is that that should put the suggestion for the thread sealant in the online ad and not just on the parts bag - it would have been better to know what else I needed when I ordered these - otherwise very good - no leaks no drips

Good hardware, standard go to for many aircraft. Spruce delivers.

Just purchased but havenât installed yet. Still trying to figure out why some valves come with an O-ring and others to not. The valves in there now do not and have a washer onto witch they are fairly well tightened. Need to figure out if I can tighten this down as much with the O-ring.

Q&A

Q: I have stripped threads on my 1/4 pipe drain valve, and need to tap a larger drain valve in a fiberglass gas tank(Kitfox). What size are the threads?

The CAV-180 is 3/8-24 thread.
