Super fast service from Aircraft Spruce! My order was correct and shipping was really fast even by using the standard shipping. I still ha e to finish setting this up but the part is durable and as advertised. Great Service.

Used it for the first time yesterday and worked great. It could use some instructions on which is the positive and negative.

Bought this for my plane to practice on the ground with power. The part showed up by itself, no instructions on how to set it up. Assuming that it works, the price is not bad. Some instruction would really help.

Excepting the surface finish of the plug, it is cheap and useful device to have even in small airplane such as RVs. Mine required a little filing job to fit easily in the receptacle.

When I opened the package and removed the plug the the plastic portion with the center contact slid out of the body. I believe there should have been a pin or locking screw where the opening is but the plastic was just smooth. I made my own lock by drilling and inserting a small screw. I should not have had to do this.

Q&A

Q: What gauge wire is recommeded for use with this plug?

Any wire under 0 AWG can be used with this plug.

Q: Can I assume that the exterior clamp is for negative & the plug can be disassembled to connect a positive cable? Also, would this fit the external power port for a 1978 Piper Archer II?

Yes the exterior clamp is for the negative and the positive is held in with a set screw. It should fit the port on your aircraft provided you have this type of receptacle.

Q: Someone please tell me if this plug will fit a 1969 Piper PA-28 200 R Arrow. Thanks!

Yes, this should fit this aircraft.
