- It's user-friendly and simple to adjust the angle; just press the release button with a thumb bend.

This borescope is easy to use and takes great pictures. I just need to get some wood and make a wooden tray for my laptop to sit on top of the engine. Works great with my Dell laptop and I have it set to take Jpeg pictures. Comes in a nice storage box with adapters for ipad, iphone, or laptop. A great tool for the money.

I bought the direct iPhone connect bundle and initial impression is underwhelming. As description says you can’t control the light intensity, it doesn’t render colors even remotely accurately, it is quite lightly built considering the price. Getting it to connect was a rodeo because a) the documentation is poor: b) it says many apps maybe used (not true at all) and it specifies an app to use which doesn’t work while the only app that seems to work is not specified other than an obscure QR code I happened to scan when everything else failed. Resolution seems okay. Vividia email support was prompt though all it said was “call us”! Frustrating. I didn’t want to fool around with far less expensive versions that abound on aviation forums but now kinda wish I had.
I bought a Vivida borescope with WiFi attachment for iPhone, but never got it to work for longer than about 15 seconds. Flash-forward three years or so and I bought an updated Vivida scope for iPhone. It has been updated and is much better. Though I still had to spend an hour or so to get the software, it works. Theres much more that can be improved on this scope and the software.
