Place Solar-Screen™ to reduce glare while in your plane, car, boat or RV and also works great around the house. This innovative product can even be cut to fit on helmet shields and goggles used for skiing & motorcycling.|
Works as advertised. Only downside is that it cost more to ship that the purchase price of the product
Works well, once rubbed, but could be larger -- even with two of these, theres still enough sun coming through my bubble canopy to give me an unhealthy tan.
Unlike other comments on this I understand that a static charge needs created in order to cling to my window. So far it is working well and doing what I wanted. It could be a bit bigger but that would make it harder to place on the window. Be aware that seeing other planes thru it will be more difficult. Thank goodness for ADSB 😀
Worked well for about a year, but gradually lost its ability to hold its static charge, so it no longer sticks to the window.
Not so sticky , had to rub it on several times to make it stick , have used these years ago on a business jet worked very well back then , it did finally adhere to the glass but not very impressed with how it sticks to the glass , wanted to come loose ...........
Doesnt stick to the canopy. Zip. Nada. Likely not worth returning. Trying to figure out what else I could possibly use this piece of plastic for before I deep six it.
Per the supplier: Yes, these will be fine on heated windscreens.
Yes, if it's very curved it may have a crease but it will stick fine.
Per the manufacturer, this works by static electricity. To reenergize the static charge, you would need to rub it on your clothing before use.
No moisture is required or recommended for solar screens to stick. Be sure it's clean and dry in try rubbing it on a sweater to reactivate it's static charge. The glass or plastic you are sticking it to should also be clean and dry.
