A sagging or torn headliner can make even the nicest airplane look unattractive and worn out. Headliners are actually quite inexpensive and easier to replace than many pilots realize. The headliners are professionally manufactured and every headliner set comes with complete instructions. Available in Excell stretchable vinyl or wool. Specify fabric type and color as noted below the chart. Headliners are special order & non-returnable.

The wait was worth it, a great item

I will rate this item as a 5 for packaging and time of delivery from order date. To have you manufacture and ship within the time quoted was fantastic. The packaging with good covering and a plastic bag to eliminate moisture is most appreciative. We will have to wait for the availability of a hanger for installation so I can not rate the product at this time. Thank you and I am looking forward to a new headliner in this 170B that I enjoy flying.

The only down side to this order is the fact that they do not advise you of the wait time to have your head liner sewn and ready to ship. They give you a shipping date but need to include the disclaimer for the production side of the sale, They have been very nice on the phone.

I was disappointed after waiting a month for this headliner. The package was damaged looked like it had been set up against an exhaust pipe and had some charred burn marks. That was not Spruces fault, but the shippers. The headliner had black dog hair all over it, right off of the roll, which wasnt very appealing to me. After talking to Spruce, I said I couldnt wait another month for a replacement, so they knocked off 25% and I went to work minimizing the burn marks on the liner. It is very nice material, but had a few puckers sewn into the seams which dont want to smooth out. Not a bad headliner, but not the best Ive seen either.

After waiting months for this I was somewhat disapointed. The zipper was not centered, there were severalPuckers sewn into it that you cant stretch out. Good quality material

Zipper is complete garbage.

Have ordered 2 of these. The first was for a 1956 C-172. I was happy with it until I went to unzip the zipper. They forgot the handle to the zipper. I called, and they were unhelpful. Thankfully, my local JoAnn fabrics had a compatible zipper, and I was able to remove the handle from it and fit it onto the headliner. I figured this must be a fluke, and forgot about it until my next experience with this item. This one was for a 1966 C-150. It arrived promptly. I stripped out the old headliner, and went to dry fit the new headliner as per the instructions. It was not even close to a correct fit. Three phone calls later, they sent UPS to get it back. I got a note that they were investigating why it didnt fit - then nothing farther. My aircraft has spent the last month unflyable in the hangar with fiberglass insulation hanging down. Do yourself a favor. Dont buy one of these from Aircraft Spruce.

Been working on aircraft for almost 45 years and has to be the worst product ever used. the head liner wasnt completed sawing and was not near specs. Went back to Airtex for good.

Q: Does your headliners include the formed backing board or is it only the fabric/etc. to replace on the original backing board?

The headliners do not come with back boards, or bows. The original units must be used.

Q: Is the tan headliner wool or vinyl? Also, does the kit come with glue and everything needed for installation?

The tan headliners are wool. These are sold as pre-sewn fabric envelopes only. No adhesive, or any other attaching parts are included.

Q: Is the gray headliner wool? Advantages of wool over vinyl besides the look / feel?

Yes, the gray headliners are wool. There are no real advantages or disadvantages of either. Vinyl may be a tad easier to clean. Other than that, it's basically just like you said, personal preference on look and feel.

Q: If i have a vinyl headliner, can I install a wool headliner in its place? Are they the same exact pattern?

Yes. The headliners would be cut from the same pattern regardless of material.

Q: Do the headliners come with a burn cert for log book documentation?

Yes, a burn cert will be included with each headliner.

Q: Do the headliners come with a burn cert for log book documentation?

Yes, a burn cert will be included with each headliner.

Q: Do the headliners come with the zippers sewn in?

Yes, these will come with the zippers sewn in.

Q: Do the headliners for Cessna's come with the attaching strips that the Cessna bows insert through?

If the OEM design had the attaching strips, then yes the new headliner will have this.
