Engineered for a long service life, the B model turn coordinator features a proven AC rotor powered by a solid-state inverter, creating less heat behind the panel. Utilizing a brushless rotor design, this instrument has top industry ratings of 4,800 hours MTBF. As a direct replacement for most 3-pin turn coordinators, it is ideal for use in high performance aircraft and cold-climate applications.
All 3-inch turn coordinators operate from 1032 volts DC for convenience and reliability.
Very nice gauge.
work fine, just a little long to unflag, its a rotation speed sensor, not the cc alimentation
I won this unit at Aircraft Spruce's Customer Appreciation Day 2013, just in time, my old unit was doing 90 second turns. The unit I won was unlighted and I needed a lighted unit. I emailed MidContinent's Sales & Customer Service Manager Bryan Sitner who exchanged the unit at no cost. Too soon to rate the instrument so I'm giving 5 stars to their Customer Service!
The turn coordinator works just fine. I am a little peeved that I ordered what I thought was one with a high wing aircraft example on the display and got one with a low wing, a minor detail to be sure but for the price of this instrument youâd think the example of what you see online would be what you get. I called To inquire about swapping, was transferred to a voicemail and then never heard back after leaving a message. So a little disappointed..
