Easy installation and works as advertised. Much easier access to the tire valve.

This cap does not work well with the heavy duty wheelsets on the PA32R (Lance/Saratoga) due to the location of the valve stem with respect to the cap mounting hardware. The door does not align with the valve stem, which defeats the purpose of the design.

Q&A

Please note, Aircraft Spruce's personnel are not certified aircraft mechanics and can only provide general support and ideas, which should not be relied upon or implemented in lieu of consulting an A&P or other qualified technician. Aircraft Spruce assumes no responsibility or liability for any issue or problem which may arise from any repair, modification or other work done from this knowledge base. Q: Is a form 8130-3 available for this p/n 06-02572?

Per the supplier: Yes, form 8130-3 can be supplied with this product but it must be requested at the time of order. There is an additional fee for this form.

Q: Are these hubba hubba caps, part # 06-02572, sold as a pair or a piece?

These are priced and sold as a pair.

Q: Is the Hubba Hubba Cap an STC or a PMA part?

Yes, it is STC'd.

Q: What colour are they?

These are white.

Q: What material are these made of?

These caps are plastic.

Q: Can you supply replacement access door for hubba hubba caps? Mine departed my aircraft.

If it is the triangle style door they can be special ordered from the vendor. The more rectangle style doors are not available.

Q: Can an owner install these in place of the flat aluminum covers, without an A&P signoff?

We believe these would just require a logbook entry. We always recommend customer confirm with their A&P mechanic before installing any item on a certified aircraft.

Q: There are three wheels. Why do they only sell a set of 2?

This is how the supplier sells them. Generally the main wheels are the same size in which case both would need caps. Most of the time the nose wheel is smaller than the main wheels so the same cap would not fit.
