As a flight instructor I have liked two things about Jiffyhood. First, its simple design and easy to accommodate any pilot. Secondly, when using foggle type hoods it really gives a myopic view to the user. There is a LOT more need to pivot and turn your head with foggles. Real IFR is flown without restriction so you dont have to turn your head often but just dart your eyes back and forth to do the scan. Head turning can potentially lead to vertigo. Jiffyhood allows good scanning while blocking the windscreen. Far more IFR realistic.

Light weight and easy to use with glasses and headsets .. will require you getting your own personal process on how to get set for flying .. but once that setup is figured out its very comfortable and nonintrusive. Does satisfactory job of shielding the outside view considering its simplicity and weight versus the cumbersome older models.

The hood is relatively comfortable and works well with eyeglasses. Highly recommended over “foggles” if you wear glasses.

Since I wear glasses, traditional foggles do not work for me at all. I've trained with this hood very often since it was the choice of my instructor (who also wears glasses). That said, this is a plastic hood and the idea that it can 'roll up' or be stowed in a pocket is rather ludicrous. But it's a very good training hood and I'm ordering another one.
