The AV-532 is a VOR/LOC/GS receive only antenna which consists of taper ground high-strength 17-7PH stainless steel elements to reliably withstand vibration and wind loads. The insulators are weather-sealed compression-molded bakelite with the mounting holes provided. The unit may be mounted with the V pointed either forward or aft. The antenna is designed to operate at speeds up to 350 mph and altitudes up to 50,000 ft. It has a drag force of 3.42 lb @ 250 mph. A 30 ft. transmission line with integral balun is also supplied.

Q: The Rami website states the AV-532L is a Nav/Vor/GS combined antenna but your website says that the AV-532L is VOR ONLY. Can you please advise to why there is a discrepancy? Thank you

Q: What is the cable length on this RAMI AV-532L antenna with cable? What is the connector on it?

The cable is 30 feet with threaded studs for the antenna side. The unit side is unterminated.

Q: Is this antenna compatible with a Garmin G5 in order to use VOR/LOC/ILS? Needs two cables from the antenna top work with those two or just one cable and diplexer o splitter?

The G5 cannot connect to this antenna directly.

Q: Which Specification is the cable? RG400 or other?

The COAX being used is RG58.

Q: It says this comes with RG58. Can this antenna be used on a certified aircraft?

Yes. This is a TSO'd antenna.

Q: Is this RAMI AV-532L antenna suitable to transmit and receive VHF comms?

No, this is not a communications antenna. It is a VOR/LOC/GS receive antenna only.
