Quick delivery and the quality was unmatched. Love this stick for my KR2S. Would not fly without it...
Five stars for quality and design. I did return it however because I have large hands. I’m 6’5” and generally order XXL or larger gloves. The little blue button (pinky finger) is what made it uncomfortable for me. Had that not been there it might have worked for me. It was like sipping tea with your pinky out and that wasn’t comfortable for me and the grip wasn’t long enough to put my hand on it without that in the way. It’s nice but if you have large hands it may not be comfortable for you. Otherwise I would highly recommend. Maybe Infinity would make an XL version? #sasquatch
Excellent stick, beautiful results. My mechanic was able to adapt it with minor efforts to my gyrocopter Magni M16, and it is very satisfactory. :)
Well worth the money!
These are excellent quality. Ive seen other reviews elsewhere that said they are toy like but nothing could be further from the truth. The fit and finish are superb. They are made of a lighter density plastic (likely more advanced) than that a real military B-8 grip. The plastic is finer and smoother than an actual military grip which is why they look somewhat more plastic like in the pics. In real life they dont have that look as far as Im concerned.
The product itself is great so far...these should really be special order items from ACS however. There are too many switch choices/options from the manufacturer to narrow down into the three product options listed here. I ordered one w/o the flap/brake switch and still had to switch out three of the push buttons because they were on-on switches and not momentary switches. Infinity has a special order form with all the switch options, though not all are offered here. Overall, well constructed with a good feel, and the pushbutton caps can be switched out to pretty much any color youd like if the multi-colored caps look too toy-like for your taste.
I only wish the bushing was included with the purchase. I had ordered a pair of ray allen prior and they were. But I do like these grips
I installed this grip on my RV8 and is very happy with it. It is comfortable, allow to have HOTAS. The buttons are well loaded so you almost can't switch a device on or off inadvertently. The little bad aspect is the plastic toy look. I would install it again if I had to do another airplane.
The stick grip workmanship is fine but the switches are not high end quality as i would expect.
Before I get to the grip, even after a couple weeks unpacked the plastic still smells up the room. I have to wash my hands every time I handle it the off gassing of whatever ABS they use is so bad. Anyway, this thing is ridiculous and not in a good way. The wiring is a mess inside with no retention or routing, so when you go to clamshell this thing you have to hope you dont pinch the wires together. The wiring seems to be regular PVC not PTFE which is a major strike to me. The switches feel like theyre off a PC joystick. Worst yet are the instructions, they really should post them on here so folks can take a look. They barely manage to convey any useful information. Id send this back but in my efforts to install this on my control column I popped apart the hat switch. Lets say theres no way Id want to be using that without a relay, 6A my a...
