This DVD is designed to illustrate how many of the systems on your powerplant are installed, maintained, and serviced. For individuals new to Rotax aircraft engines this DVD will offer a unique look into what goes into setting up and maintaining a trouble free powerplant. This 116 minute video, the third in our new series of instructional DVD’s, takes you through the service, inspection, and installation of all popular Rotax Gearboxes, electric starters, carburetors, cabling, and fuel pumps.

We show you how to completely disassemble and service every part on all four Rotax gearboxes in clear and concise presentation that only a video can provide. This includes a detailed illustration of what tools are needed to perform the work as well as ways to accomplish certain tasks with a minimum of first time frustration. Just the kind of inside knowledge you can’t find in printed literature. If you are building a new aircraft or want to upgrade to another gearbox, we show you exactly how to install any drive using all proper torque valves, Loctites, and sealants.

The on-screen copy even gives you the wrench size you need for every step. After illustrating all popular gearboxes we show you how to install a Rotax electric starter. You’ll see how to properly notch the crankcase and get the ring gear mounted with the correct spacer for your particular engine type. Carburetor cabling can be a real chore for the novice. Video makes it clear and simple with detailed demonstrations of carb access and three-in-to-one actuation. Carb rebuilding is part of scheduled maintenance. The DVD shows the entire process, returning your carburetor to service in like new condition.

The importance of proper fuel pump maintenance can not be overlooked. We show you a step-by-step rebuild of all popular fuel pumps, saving you the cost of annual replacement.
