I have been using this battery for about 4 years, yes 4 years. It is still not showing any signs of tiring out (knock on wood). The great thing about this AGM batteries is the no spill no corrosion thing. I used to get corrosion on the terminals all the time, I have gotten none with this battery. Couldnt recommend it more. It is in an enclosed battery box that is very well vented to the outside because of the old regular serviceable batteries, so this could be a contributing factor to the lack of corrosion.

Had two g25s before. This is upgrade. Take charge from generator much better. Other two failed at 1 year and at 5 months. This was Gill suggested replacment. Gill replaced second under warranty. They were great to deal with. Aircraft Spruce support a little weak.
I gave it four stars because I just dont know yet. I had a Concorde battery in the Skyhawk and it failed miserably - and right at the end of the warranty. Unfortunately, Concorde just prorates the batterys life over the two year warranty, so replacing with same would have still been more expensive than buying this battery. As far as what I can tell you about the Gill... first, I like the fact that the battery tightens up with the wing-nuts on the top post. Makes servicing in the field easier. This battery also has a handle! Doesnt sound like much, but it made dropping the battery into the aircraft considerably easier than with the Concorde. Battery was fully charged and provided a robust crank to the Skytec starter! That was the thing I wanted it to do. Will see over the next few years how well it holds out - but at almost $100 less than the Concorde, if I get two years, I have a better value going.
Battery has been good for 4 years. Only on the last start attempt did it not have the juice to start the engine. Charged the battery up over several days registering 13.4 Volt. Let it set for a week due to weather conditions and when I went back out to fly, the battery would not kick the engine over. Still I ma pleased as it is the longest service I have gotten out of an aircraft battery. The AGM is also great as it did not leave any acid residue and absolutely no leakage problems.

Yes, this is the new LT series Gill that replaces the old G-25S. The applications are the same for both batteries.
It is a 12V battery. The information is listed in the application guide tab on our web site.

The Gill batteries are now starting to be changed from CCA to now being rated in IPP and IPR ratings.
