I am very pleased with this rivetgun, its light but solid. The pushbutton is smooth and everything fits fine, hows its stands up time i have to see, i own it just for two weeks.
This kit is just what I wanted to rebuild my 1975 air stream. Tried the gun out and just was amazed on how simple it was in buck riveting back my aluminum panels. Thanks aircraftspruce.ca , I have just adopted your store , thanks again. Ross
Thank you for the quick shipping. I just love this kit.
This is the same gun that I learned to set rivets with that I borrowed. It worked so nice I bought this one for myself!!
Nice set. I am returning it because I need the 4x. Order screen defaults to the 2x and I must not have caught it.
So happy I found this kit. I am renovating a vintage airstream and couldn’t seem to find this gun with adjustable air pressure so as not to damage the aluminum skins. Out of stock everywhere. Tried a few rivets with it and it works great! Solid set. Thank you Aircraft Spruce.
I was pleasantly surprised how nice this gun is. It has a very smooth action and is very easy to regulate from a tap, tap, tap to a full on barrage. The case is also a nice plus.
I was tempted to penalize one star because it took two months for rivet gun order to be delivered . . . but thats not fair to the product itself. I am totally pleased with the 2x rivet gun. It is very well made and easy to use. The kit came with everything I need. It produces outstanding results. As far as the product goes, I couldnt be happier.
Just tried it on a few rivets to start out with. Im not using it on aircraft but on decorative sheet metal work. So far I love it. It feels very solid and well made. Even my first few tries I got acceptable results and I can see where practice makes perfect.
That is in reference to the power of the gun, and recommended max diameter of the rivet that can be bucked. 2X is up to 1/8" diameter, 3X up to 3/16", and 4X up to 1/4". A regulator is commonly used to lower a larger powered gun to buck smaller diameter rivets.
You should be find just using a few gallons worth in a tank. It doesn't take much to power this rivet gun.
